Having gained his mechanical experience in the small family garage business, Ralph then went on to pursue his interests in older vehicles and attended the Vehicle restoration Diploma course in Colchester.

After graduating in 1988, he formed R M Restorations from a small workshop in Gt Bentley. The business expanded rapidly and in 1993 moved to it's current premises in Gt Wigborough near Colchester, Essex.

Mark Andrews also graduated through the vehicle restoration course and joined the business in 1998.
